Welcome to my Digital Empire
Early Poetry
All of these poems in this subsection were written back in my high school days...
Why Can't I Die? A poem about Euthanasia.
Breaking down the Walls
This one is interesting in the fact that I wrote it for a lady
I dated back in high school. We were having trouble communicating with each
other, mostly about things we needed to talk about. However, I found
that this piece just applies to too many people these days...
How Much Do You Love Me?
In my old youth group, I once encountered a poster that read:
"How much do you love me, Lord?" And He replied, "This much." And then he
died. I just had to write something to elaborate on it.
Hiroshima
Best read while listening to Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" album
The Untouchable
It's a shame that the homeless don't have web access. These
are the ironies that fill our lives, though, eh?
Poetry of the Soul
Once I was confortable writing poetry, I started to move inward to the spiritual and emotional worlds as the focii for my works.
13 Candles
Desire and Eternal Desire
I originally wrote "Desire" as a reflection on how hard it is
to deny one's self certain things. While being full of Biblical cliches, it
still focuses on the emotions we feel when we desire something too much. A
few years ago, I was reading back through my poems, and I reread this one.
"Eternal Desire" was the result of this reflection. "Eternal Desire" is
actually its own poem plus the former poem combined into one. Whereas
"Desire" is rather generic in its connotation of desires, "Eternal Desire"
reflects my personal struggles with one of my worst longings.
ENtrOpY
This one is for all those of you who love a visual poem.

A Leap Out of Faith
You may recognize parts of this poem from my front page. In a
nutshell, this is my spiritual life-story during college.
Young Ballerinas
It's amazing the things you can see when you're not looking
for anything in particular. I was at the coffee house one night, and these
three little girls were just dancing and practicing ballet...
